Perhaps we've been given clues leading up to the events for the 50th anniversary special? Or have we just looked at two things and made connections that aren't there? I also think it is possible that the writers have been teasing us, knowing we'd look for clues.
So I've found some of the main points for you to ponder. You could pass them off as a coincidence, but as the Doctor says, "Never ignore a coincidence. Unless you're busy, in which case always ignore a coincidence."
And it's months until November; we're hardly busy.
Since Bad Wolf/Rose looked into the Time Vortex, was able to see all of time and space and mold it, is it possible she could have seen Clara there and vice versa? Or just looking into it too much? I think this is very plausible, but have no idea how it could be connected with the John Hurt's 'Doctor'.
'The most important leaf in human history' was from a Norway Maple. Darlig Ulv Stranden (aka Bad Wolf Bay) is in Norway. According to various posts I've seen, the type of leaf used appeared to have changed between episodes. That might be a props department error, or it might just be none of us know anything about leaves I'm inclined to go with reading too much into it here. The leaf only seemed relevant to the episode it was used in; it hasn't been mentioned again.
March 5, 2005 is when Rose Tyler first met the Doctor. It's the same day that Clara's mother died. Possibly a valid clue. Then again, we are celebrating 50 years of Doctor Who. It might just be a shout out to the first airing of the current series?
Clara singing 'Hungry like the Wolf'. Okay, I think we were being trolled here. Just too obvious.
There were roses (of some sort) around all three versions of Clara at some point. I think we were flat out trolled with the name of the pub, or a writer was very uncreative with pub naming. If Bad Wolf/Rose was connected to the pub, it would have been Bad Wolf - that's how Rose left notes to herself.
So do you think these 'coincidences' could be important? Any more theories to add? Anyone else think we may have been trolled?
